Community Garden

‘It’s lovely and peaceful here’ remarked a recent visitor to Par Bay Community Garden, and he’s not the only one to spend some time there, chatting with friends, enjoying some quiet time or pausing for a break on a walk. Started in 2015 on an overgrown site, with funding from Par Bay Big Local, the Garden has become a well-loved feature in the heart of the village. Run entirely by volunteers, the Garden has beds for vegetables and herbs as well as flowers and shrubs, and local people enjoy coming in to pick fresh seasonal veg, which is freely available to all.

This space includes...

  • Benches to sit and enjoy the peace of the garden.
  • Flowers to attract bees and butterflies.
  • Vegetables to pick and leave a donation.
  • Fruit trees.
  • Swap and Share

  • Garden club
  • Mushroom club
