The Lower Hall has had several significant improvements. The acoustic “clouds” have made it suitable for live music and improved the sound quality, deflecting the echoes, so talking is no longer a problem.

Windows have been upgraded to improve access to opening and environmental efficiency. The blackout curtains were the final touch enabling use of screens during the day.

Funding towards this project has been allocated from Cornwall Council’s Community Levelling Up Programme, on behalf of the UK
Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
